Engagement Poems

**

I've searched and searched to find a mate
To be my wife and friend
And I know, for sure, that with you
My search is at an end
I hope my darling (name)
That you feel the way I do
And from this day my life will be
Forever spent with you

**

You're engaged...
For all of your lives,
May you find in each other
The friend of your heart...
The joy of your world...
The love of your life!

**

When someone special comes along it turns your life around
You want to tell the whole wide world of all the joy you’ve found
And now your dreams are coming true you’ve bought that special ring
And looking forward to the joy the future years will bring
May you use this special time to learn and understand
And take an equal share in all the many things you’ve planned
For all the lovely dreams you’ve made are now all dreams for two
May they bring you twice the joy as each of them comes true
And so on your engagement you’re wished the very best
A lifetime full of perfect love and lasting happiness

Engagement Poems

**

Love one another
..and you will be happy.
It's as simple...
.. and as difficult as that.

**

Use your imagination,
Live romantically.

**

You're a very special couple
You makes the perfect pair
This brings a wish for happiness
In the future you will share.

**

Occasionally

Give her two red roses, each with a note. The first note says "For the woman I love" and the second, "For my best friend."

**

Take a little bit of me
And a little bit of you
Add a few years later on
And see what we've been through

2 cups of loyalty
generously sprinkled with trust
A pinch of forgiveness
And laughter is a must

Blend a smile, a kiss and
Holding each others hands
Add this all together
Between a woman and a man

Stir in two hearts
Sprinkled with adoration
Stir it all together
And you get a good foundation
For Love.

Yes, I'll Marry You

Yes, I'll marry you, my dear,
And here's the reason why;
So I can push you out of bed
When the baby starts to cry,
And if we hear a knocking
And it's creepy and it's late,
I hand you the torch you see,
And you investigate.
Yes, I'll marry you, my dear,
You may not apprehend it,
But when the tumble-drier goes
It's you that has to mend it,
You have to face the neighbour
Should our labrador attack him,
And if a drunkard fondles me
It's you that has to whack him.
Yes, I'll marry you,
You're virile and you're lean,
My house is like a pigsty
You can help to keep it clean.
That sexy little dinner
Which you served by candlelight,
As I do chipolatas,
You can cook it every night!
It's you who has to work the drill
and put up curtain track,
And when I've got PMT it's you who gets the flak,
I do see great advantages,
But none of them for you,
And so before you see the light,
I do, I do, I do!
